Meet "The Project"

"The Project" is an extremely well maintained Sigma 38. She is a racer-cruiser, designed as a safe, but fast offshore-racer.

With a full suit of new racing sails (main, jibs, genoas and spinnakers) and safety equipment she is ready to go for the 2020 Caribbean Racing Season.
We are offering skippered racing charters for 6-8 people for seven different regattas around the Caribbean this season.
Click here to find out which regattas we are planning on going to and contact us if you'd like to join us or if you have any questions. We'd love to help!

Or, if you have a more laid back approach to life, you can find out more about our Caribbean Cruising options here.

The Story of Monster Marine

Cowes Week
Racing Round Barbados 2019

The Beginning...

"The Project", a Sigma 38

In 2004 we bought a Sigma 38, now known as "The Project". This was the start of something exciting: Monster Marine, which was designed to allow anyone to participate in high level racing and to sail some of today's most exciting sailing craft.

In "The Project" we started racing in and around the Hamble and went on to win our class at Cowes for several years and finished top 3 in Black Group.

More recently we crossed the Atlantic with the ARC+, crossing the line 3rd out of all the boats!

Currently "The Project" is based in Barbados and will be available for Skippered Racing Charters for some of the regattas in the 2020 Caribbean Racing Circuit.

A Side Project...

"Project Racing", an 18ft Skiff

Between 2008 and 2012, Andy ran a campaign in the 18 ft skiff class in Sydney Harbour, Australia.

For this campaign, he was joined by James Barker and Matt McGovern and after several years of hard work they finished top 3 at the 2011 Skiff Worlds.

A Monster Plan...

"Monster Project", a Volvo 70

"Monster Project" was exactly what it soundsIn 2012 we bought Kosatka which had raced in the 2008 Volvo Ocean Race.

After a great deal of work on the boat, it was ready to take people of all abilities and allow them to experience the thrill of racing on this top racing yacht.

For four years, we raced extensively, all around the world and did well in races including: Fastnet Race, Middle Sea Race, Round Britain and Ireland, RORC Caribbean 600, ARC Transatlantic and Antigua Sailing Week.

Side Project #2...

"Nano Project", the Moth

Another one of Andy's side projects was to master the high performance foiling boat, the moth. And just 3 months after sailing one for the first time he competed in the 2011 Moth Worlds in Australia, placing 11th overall.
